As most of you know, Dain and I have lost 2 babies during pregnancy. Our first angel was taken from us by natural miscarriage at 9 weeks on July 16, 2005. We lost our 2nd angel on December 4, 2005 at 7 weeks because of an ectopic pregnancy. It seems unreal that it's already been 2 years ago. We know that God has a plan for us and are waiting on him. We think about our babies often, but we have let go of the constant grief and anger. We will never forget our angels and they will always be special. Dain and I had/have a wonderful support system of family and friends. We are truely blessed. Thank you for everything you did for us!!
Miscarriages are one of those things that you don't hear a lot about until it's happened to you. It is unreal the amount of people that came to us after our losses and told us about theirs. It is much more prevelant than you may realize. Statistics show that 1 in every 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage! I was blown away when I first heard those numbers. There are many parents out there that are grieving silently. This coming Monday is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Please take time out of your day to say a prayer for these parents and their angels.
I know this is one of the things that is hard to talk about, but if you know someone who has had a loss, please don't ignore them. This is the time in their lives when they need the most support. At least, send them a card to let them know you are praying for them and are there for them. It's not hard to make a HUGE difference to them! They don't need answers from you, just love. Here is a website that talks specifically about this. http://www.miscarriagesupport.org.nz/helping.html
October 15th officially became Pregnacy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day in 2006. As I said earlier, take time out of your day on Monday to say a prayer for the parents who have experienced losses and for their angels.
Thanks for reading! I hope you all have a good weekend! Love you all!
