After 2+ years of living in our house we are FINALLY redoing our bedroom. We bought a comforter set tonight and are painting our walls sometime this weekend!! I'm excited!!!! I'll take pictures after we get it done, but in the mean time I am posting a picture of the comforter set from the internet. We really like the clean lines! Tell me what you think!!

New Bedroom Decor & Paint

So, when you coming to do my bedroom. Phillip said I could use the chain saw on our bed and get rid of it. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may have to either do a "Trading Spaces" trick on our bed or just put mattress and box springs on the floor until we get the money to buy a new bedroom suite. I'm fine with the dresser and chester drawers for now. I just want to DESTROY the bed frame. I'm sure someone creative could figure out how to take the drawers and doors from the bed frame and make a creative headboard out of them. I would rather have a new one, but that would at least satisfy me until we saved up some money. A new bed is too far down our priority list. I need a new windshield first!!!! LOL!!!!
I like the clean lines that you picked for your comforter. That will look good with your furniture.
What are you doing with your old comforter? I may be interested in it for our guest bedroom.

We can figure out something to do with your bed....don't take a chainsaw to it yet! LOL! We hadn't figured out what we are doing with the comforter, shams and pillows but we are getting rid of them. We don't have a reason to keep them so you can have them (Dain said for $30...LOL!). It's a King size comforter, but we had to buy a king size because of how thick the mattresses are. It didn't hang too low though.
I like the new comforter too and Dain & I actually agreed on it. HA! I didn't like what he was picking out and he didn't like what I was picking out until we found this one and we both liked it right off!
I think we are going to paint the walls tan (close to the color in the bedspread). What do you think? I think the contrast from the furniture will make it pop!
Well...Dain and I are off to his company picinic!

Nice choice!! I haven't seen the new bed set, but I do like the comforter.
Also agree with you that Steph shouldn't go chain saw Massacre on the bed. Yes, it would be easier to get rid of that way, but there must be other options.
Looking forward to hearing (seeing) the new changes to the bedroom.

i like the new look! it looks very organized and clean. I like the lines and the color.
Tracy...the picture did come right out of a website...LOL! I promise mine won't look quite that good. =/. I wanted you all to see the comforter set more than anything and that was the only picture I could find. I will take pictures of our room when the paint job is done and I'll post pictures!
Stephanie...Our wonderful Dad and Dain are going to paint our bedroom today. Dain didn't have to work today, so I asked him if he would start painting the room. And the good thing about your comment is there are plently of people in the world that aren't in their right mind...LOL!
